Hand feeding formula from Sri Swamiji, sun flower seeds, walnuts with shells and almonds. Wild Hyacinths feed on palm fruits and coconuts. In Shukavana 35 % of diet quantity with seasonal fruit slices. 10% of diet quantity with sprouts of 9 different dicotyledons and 20% of mixed fresh vegetables and occasionally green leafy vegetables to maintain a nutritious balanced diet. Mixed seeds o f 30-33% of their total diet that includes sunflower, safflower, pumpkin, groundnut, pieces of almond and a small ratio of cashew nuts are served to provide fatty nutrition required for feather conditioning and health of the bird. Occasionally coconut meat is served.
